Shame on you, Easy Self Storage!
Beware! Awful Experience!
I rented a space for one month, at a rate of $97, and left a $97 deposit. Upon vacating the space, I was charged several "service fees," which were applied via a very creative interpretation of my rental contract. I tried to reason with the owner of the business, and was spoken to more rudely than I had thought possible. I finally realized that, having no recourse, I would simply have to accept being gouged for several absurd fees. I gave the owner my address, and he promised to send my deposit check, minus his fees.
This is a great company.. they are friendly, convenient and helpful. Units are clean, accessible and prorated if you check out before the 15th. I received my prorated check shortly after I moved out. If I need a Storage unit again, I would definitely use Easy Storage.
The owner of this business is an aggressive and rude swindler, whose goal is clearly to gouge customers for every possible dime.
Several weeks passed, and no deposit check arrived. I called the manager, who told me that the matter was "out of his hands!" He told me that I would have to provide proof that the check had not arrived, and could then submit a request for a replacement check, which I would receive in three months if my request was approved. I asked the owner why he would throw away repeat business, and risk bad reviews just to pocket a few bucks, and his response was to tell me to "stop spouting off."
